Yay For You! by Nathalie DeSousa

Hello there! Nathalie with you today with a new super fun project featuring the new Celebrate! collection. I love documenting major celebrations, and what better way to keep a year of celebrations than a small album. I decided to use the collection, a pink 6x8 Sn@p binder, the Let's Celebrate digital collection, and Celebrate! Simple Cards Kit in this project (and will continue adding more pages as the year progresses)

I wanted something fun for the cover page of my album. A pocket page was the perfect way to start it all. For this, I am using the Digital Embellishments.  Using Photoshop, I enlarged the digital card to fit in the page.  It was printed on vellum - this creates a semi-translucent finish-, and with the help of fine double sided tape and some sequin, it was converted into a shaker page. A piece of ephemera and few numeral stickers ( Color Vibe Alpha Sticker Tablets) complete the page.

One of my favorite things in Simple Stories collections are always the chipboard frames. I took advantage of them to create small one page layouts in my album. There is so much detail in the frames that you just need a few pieces of paper and a few extra embellishments to complete the layout. I accompany these pages with simple pocket pages filled with the collection's whimsical designs

Mini albums are a great place to get interactive. For these two pages, I am taking advantage of the papers and coordinating Color Vibe cardstock to create flips, and hidden pockets for my album. I am making sure that the pocket pages that accompany these spreads are simple....

One of my favorite ways to document in a smaller format is a hybrid approach. Once again, I used Photoshop to enlarge some of the collection's tags and journaling pieces to create some of my spreads. To create the banner spread, I enlarged the piece, printed it on white cardstock, then fussy cut it. I cut a piece of vellum to fit over the banner. I had the ideas of enlarging the tags to create a small mini tag book within the album.

For my last page, I am using the Celebrate! Simple Pages Card. I love the oval paper piece, it creates a simple spread to accompany the interactive folder spread on the left.

I have created a walk through of the album so far. You can watch it here, or on my YouTube channel:

Before I go, I wanted to share a bit about the album's cover. I chose a simple design  for it. I used Color Vibe cardstock, 6x8 paper pad, and the Celebrate! Simple Pages Paper Pieces. I wrapped two pieces of ribbon, and cover the seam with a paper rosette -made from the kit-

I hope these inspire you to check the new CELEBRATE! collection from Simple Stories. There is so much to chose from. You are going to love it!
