Hi scrappy friends! I am over the moon to share my first design team project. I made a mini-album using the gorgeous, soft Winter Wonder collection. My favorite thing about this collection is the beautiful patterns and florals.
We rarely get snow in the South, so any time we do it's a special occasion. I was excited to record our last snow day from January 2023.
To make the cover for this album, I used two pieces of chipboard that measured 6 inches by 8 inches. The spine measured 1.75 inches by 8 inches. I used the pretty, pink, and white Comfy Cozy Cuddly 12x12 paper for the front cover of my album. For the back cover, I used the green and white side of the Journal Elements 12x12 paper. Next, I connected the covers with the spine. I then made accordion-style binding for the pages.
I really wanted to make a shaker cover for my album. So I grabbed another piece of thick paper that measured 5 inches by 7 inches. Then I used a circle die to cut a 3.75-inch circle in the thick paper and white cardstock paper. I then lined up the circles and covered the thick paper with my white cardstock. I covered the inside of the circle with acetate. I added snow confetti to peak through the acetate before centering and adhering the smaller cover to the bigger album cover.
To decorate my pages, I used Winter Wonder foam stickers, die-cuts, flroals, and rub-ons. My goal was to leave a lot of space for journaling. I did this by adding lots of pieces from the Winter Wishes Journal Bits-Pieces. I also included pockets for extra journaling, pictures, or anything else I may want to keep in the album.
