Greetings from the Northwoods crafty friends! It's Jen here sharing my latest layout using the Feelin' Frosty collection from Simple Stories. This collection is so fresh feeling with the blues, minty greens and turquoise and the beautiful pinks! I love that there are neutrals thrown into this collection as well...really makes this versatile to create with.
And can I just share how much I am in love with the enamel dots in this particular collection? There are silver glitter dots in the assorted colors this time around! Swoon!! I love the extra added sparkles on my page. I may need to get another package of these goodies because I can foress lots of uses for these beauties! Especially around the holiday card and tag making season!
I don't have a 12x12 printer but I love the look of being able to print right on a 12x12 layout. I learned this trick a while back, but in case you don't know it...did you know that you can print directly onto vellum paper and then layer it over your colored or patterned papers and it gives the illusion that you printed directly onto your page? I love this trick and actually use it quite often! They even make special vellum adhesive in case you're worried about your adhesive showing through.
I had fun using lots of little bits and pieces from the foam stickers, 12x12 cardstock sticker sheet as well as the chipboard stickers on this layout. There are so many cute designs in this collection. I also really love that there is usually a border sticker and phrase stickers included on every 12x12 cardstock sticker sheet. It's usually pretty much a given that those get used up right away when I'm creating! Is there something that you usually gravitate towards every single time when you sit down to start working on a project or do you try something new each time? I guess perhaps I go in streaks.
The photos that I used in this layout are of my daughter last winter...we haven't had any snow yet this year and it kind of seems strange as we usually have had at least a few snowflakes here and there by now but I'm not complaining! It's coming soon! I am looking forward to that first snow fall though. It always feels so magical.
Thanks so much for stopping by! I'm looking forward to seeing other people's creations using this collection. It's hands down one of my most favorites from the most recent release!
