Hello Crafty friends!
It's Nathalie here with a bit of inspiration featuring the beautiful SAY CHEESE MAGIC collection. This new collection is filled with the perfect details to document your visits to the different parks, and many of its attractions. I am focusing on the main collection to document my Goddaughters recent vacation photos. Let me show you what I have created:
It all started with the beautiful YOO HOO! paper. I wanted to bring the large ear silhouette as a feature for my page. So, I fussy cut the image and set it aside until I prepare the background for the page.
I wanted the image to pop on the background, therefore I went ahead and paper pieced my base using large pieces from THE BEST DAY EVER and OH BOY papers. I added a few strips from the YOO HOO! paper, SEE YA SOON! paper as well as washi tape, and the large scalloped border sticker. I then set the ear silhouette atop of all these layers.
Next, It was all about framing my photo. For this, I a used one of the chipboard frames, but I deconstructed it to create a more dimensional effect on my page. Using a craft knife, I separated the two 3x4 frames, and used the complete frame to house my photo. I peeled a few layers of chipboard from the leftover frame (diagonal stripes) and backed it with a piece of paper from the 6x8 paper pad. I used this as a layer behind the photo frame. I made sure to tuck the little corner of the frame behind the ear silhouette, so it adds to the dimensional effect, and also the ear shape is not lost under all the paper layers.
It was all about embellishing next. First, I pulled a title for the page from the Foam Sticker sheets. I set it to the left of the photo. Then found a few of the flags and set them behind the title between the paper layers. I pulled the small castle silhouette from the sticker album and set it to the left of the title.
I added a few extra embellishments around the clusters, but also decided to balance the page by adding a few of the hanging banners to the top left corner of the page. A few scattered enamel dots complete the page.
I love how the page turned out, and I hope it inspires you to create with the new SAY CHEESE collections. You are going to love them all!!
XO
