Hi Friends! Andrea with you today sharing a new project made with the amazing and colorful ‘Celebrate’ collection by Simple Stories. I created a keepsakes box to keep a mini album and a set of cards made with the Simple Stories Simple Cards Kit. This will be gifted to my daughter to celebrate she was admitted to the High School she wanted as well as earning a Scholarship (proud stepmama right here). We are so proud of her, and I want to make sure she can keep all her wonderful memories together in one place.
I learned to make this simple and fun box from the amazing Eva from My Sweet Valentine in one of her classes and I thought the ‘Celebrate’ collection was perfect for what I wanted. I wanted to make something special so my daughter can celebrate her own achievements. The bright colors and happy phrases were ideal. To make it even more special, I added a string of fairy lights to the top of the box that I hid under a chipboard frame. I used a couple of foam stickers, bits and pieces, and decorative brads to finish embellishing the box.
As soon as she opens the box, she will find the inside decorated with more patterned papers, a chipboard frame, foam, and cardstock stickers. Then, she will find a set of birthday cards from the Simple Cards Kit that I’m hoping she wants to share or gift to her friends. I had already shared a few of the finished cards with MY friends haha.
She will also find a disc-bound mini album ready to be filled with photos, notes, and memories of her special moments. I used the Color Vibe coordinated cardstock, patterned papers, and even a couple of acetate pieces to create some of the base pages. I love that I had so many options to decorate my box and album because this collection is not just birthday-themed related.
I hope this project inspires you to get creative using the Celebrate collection by Simple Stories. I have a process video on my YouTube Channel sharing how this project came together. Let me know if you have any questions. I would love to see what you create with it.
