It's Nathalie with you today to share a new project featuring the beautiful JUST BEACHY collection that is going to get you ready for all things fun and sunny. This collection is just perfect for your Summer memories, travels, cruises, and everything in between. Let me show you what I created.
I love how this layout came together, and it was totally inspired on the Just Beachy paper (don't we all love those papers that are just ready for your memories)
It all started with the idea of making the waves at the bottom of the paper a main attraction on my page. So, I fussy cut the three bottom layers, and used a round tool to soften the edges of the waves so that they add dimension and texture to the page.
However, I wanted to enlarge the wave area of the paper. For this, I cut the bottom strip of the "This Is Paradise" paper, and the smaller version out of the 6x8 paper pad. I glued the two pieces together, and then free handed the wave design. I adhered it to the bottom of the page and added a few embellishments to the right corner of the page. I added a bit of white ink to the waves to bring the seam foam feel and look to the page.
Next, I used one of the chipboard frames to back a few pictures of my little cousins at one of their beach adventures. I set it on my page, then used embellishments from the collection to bring color and fun to the page. I love how easy it is to create a title using the foam stickers!!!
Since, I added that extra paper strip at the bottom of the page, I had to trim the excess from the top of the page. I used this strip and a bit of washi tape to create a border at the top of the page. I mixed a few pieces to create a large embellishment cluster at the top of the page. The large ephemera pieces are amazing (the sun was just perfect, and those sunglasses are to die for!). I used the string of the tags to tie the sections of the layout together.
To finish the page, I added a few enamel dots and a few extra brads to the page. What can I say, I love it! and I think you are going to love working with the JUST BEACHY collection, too!!
