Hello everyone! I am so happy to be sharing my latest card creations with you today! Lace up those hiking boots, and make sure you have your flashlight; tent, and bug spray ready – because we are headed into the Great Outdoors! I was so thrilled to be able to work with “Trail Mix” – the newest and most adorable outdoorsy-themed collection!
I have 8 cards to share with you today- so let’s jump right in!
As you can see on my first card, the colors of this collection are bright, beautiful and so fun! With its vivid greens, rusts, and pops of pink, this one has just the right colors for all outdoor adventures to be had. I used one of the cards from the 4x4 Elements Paper, these make fantastic card-making elements and this one is layered up with some tags, and some Bits and Pieces.
The collection comes with a whole package of these super cute Patches – reminiscent of those found on scouting shirts and so I thought it would be fun to use three of the circle-shaped ones and layer them up with some of the bugs and twigs Bits and Pieces as well as a few Decorative Brads.
Isn’t the font used in the collection the best? I loved the multi-colored letters that made such a bold sentiment on this wood plank ephemera piece! The fishing lures, feather, and a tent made for some eye-catching design elements on this card.
Boy, do I love all the Ephemera Bits and Pieces that come in the Simple Stories collections! The trio of large tags that make the background of this card is from the Journal Bits and Pieces and then I added the bold “Camp” title from the Foam Sticker sheet along with some various stickers and ephemera.
I love to make little scenes with the Ephemera and did so here on this card. The adorable A-Frame cabin, trees, and the rest make up a quick and easy outdoorsy scene that I just wanted to jump into and enjoy! I loved the tranquil blues and greens of this card!
While not a huge fan of bugs in real life, I was enamored by this super cute bug themed paper from the 6X8 paper pad as my background for this card. Again, lots of layers here with some Journal Bits and Pieces and some regular bits and pieces. Love that cute vest!
The 3x4 Elements are great for card-making! As you can see here, I used the “Let's Go on an Adventure” 3x4 card as my sentiment and added various elements to go around the card. Some lovely rust-colored twine added a fun, rustic touch to the Cream Color Vibe cardstock card I cut and punched with a notebook paper-edged punch. I am ready for an adventure for sure after making this sweet card!
My last card used one of the chipboard frames for some great dimension and then I layered the top up with various elements from the collection! I especially enjoyed the cute friendship bracelet pieces in the collection that I added along the bottom of the frame.
I had such an enjoyable time working with the awesome “Trail Mix” collection and actually have plans to make several more cards with this collection- there is so much to work with, I could make cards all day long with all my goodies! Lol! I hope I have inspired you to pick this collection up and make a few projects of your own! Thank you very much for stopping by today! Happy Crafting Friends!
