Hello Simple Stories friends, it’s Becki here to share a scrapbook page with you that I created with the Simple Vintage Linen Market. As we say goodbye to summer and move into fall, I wanted to create one more project with the Simple Vintage Linen Market collection. I love this collection so much! I love that it has such a classic summer feel to it!
This collection has so many beautiful floral elements in it. I wanted to highlight those flowers and used them to make the photo on my layout stand out.
After creating a striped background with patterned paper, I added the photo of my husband and me right in the middle of the page with the yellow gingham chipboard frame. This frame sets my photo apart from the busy patterned papers and flowers in the background.
After adding my photo, I knew that I wanted my title and journaling to come next. I added a foam sticker title on the bottom, right side of the frame. It layered perfectly over the flowers printed on the frame. Then, I typed my journaling, printed it, cut it into strips and adhered it to the top of the page.
After adding those three main elements to the page (photo, title, and journaling) it was time to jump into embellishments. As I mentioned earlier, I wanted the flowers in this collection to shine so I added a lot of them to this layout on either side of my photo. As a last finishing touch, I added a few enamel dots to add some texture and shine.
I am so happy with how this layout came together. I love the flowers so much. Mostly, I love the story that it tells!
Thank you so much for stopping by the Simple Stories blog. I’ll be back soon with more holiday crafting fun!
