Hello Simple Stories Friends!
Nathalie here to share a fun idea for documenting those especial holiday memories with the new colorful and gorgeous HOLLY DAYS collection from Simple Stories. All the papers and embellishments in this collection are just perfect for a project a bit out of the page... let me show you what I have created
My project today is one that most likely will be framed and hung on one of my walls. I wanted to make a good use of one of my extra embroidery hoops and all the papers in the collection.
I started by covering the embroidery hoop with vellum. I love Simple Stories chipboard frames! So, I quickly chose one, and backed it with the photo.
It was then time to create a few paper flower rosettes. I chose papers from the Holly Days collection, and used my scoring board and my hot glue gun to get everything for assembling.
First, I glued the picture to the bottom left part of the hoop. Then, using hot glue started to glue the paper rosettes around the picture frame. I added just a few of the adhesive brads to each center of the rosettes.
For the title of this page, I chose one of the foam adhesive phrases. It fits perfectly next to the photo. I added just two small flower clusters to the end of the rosette formation. Here is where I decided to glue my decorated hoop to the back of the 4x6 elements paper,
A small bow completes the look of the page. I love how this turned out, and I want to repeat the process with other papers form the Holly Days collection!
Remember to check the collection, you are sure to love it, too
