Sweet Summer is filled with so many bright and fun colors, perfect for finding ways to use ALL the papers. I found a sketch that featured a sunburst focal point on the right page and a photo collage on the left. I chose the rainbow stripe patter paper from the 12x12 paper pack to feature on the left as it pulls in all the colors I planned to create the sunburst design with.
For the right page I pulled a rainbow of B-sides from Sweet Summer. I love the mix of patterns and different sizes, helping to give some variety when using so many papers side by side. I added hand stitched sun rays in coordinating colors of embroidery thread to add some fun texture to my rainbow “sun” element.
My title, clouds and umbrella all come from the Simple Pages embellishment pack. I love using these for quick embellishing as they always have a large title and balanced images that work so well, even for a double page layout.
I added some more details from the Icon Stickers and the Adhesive brads to fill in some smaller openings and add color around the entire page.
