Time To Go!

Time To Go!

Hello crafty friends, Gloria Parra here with you today with a new project. Today I have a fun opening page for my travel album using the “Pack Your Bags” collection. Let me tell you friends, the timing of this collection couldn’t have been better! We recently traveled to NYC for spring break to celebrate our 10 year anniversary and this was a fabulous collection to document our trip!

I started my layout with the red floral patterned paper as my background. I cut the yellow patterned paper at 11.5x11.5” and then decided to rip a diagonal line from one corner to the other. My idea for ripping the paper was to create a sky trial for my airplane. I distressed the edges of my paper and adhered both pieces on top of an 11.5” square piece of sky patterned paper.

I then used two chipboard frames for my photos, layering them right in the middle of my sky trail. On the bottom of the smaller photo frame, I added a skyline chipboard sticker that reminded me of the tall buildings and bridges seen in NYC!

I then felt that something was missing on top of my smaller photo frame and decided to cut a 4.5” circle that I distressed and added to represent more of my sky.

The main embellishment on my page is the big airplane “flying” across my sky trail. This bold piece is part of the Big Bits and pieces embellishment pack, which I am loving and recommend you check out! I adhered it with some foam adhesive to give it some dimension and added some fun chipboard and foam stickers to finish my airplane cluster.

I then created my second embellishment cluster, that holds my title and journaling piece. To create my title, I used a foam sticker that says, “Time to go!”; and for my story I used a journaling tag found in the Journaling Bits and Pieces pack. I then added some brads and foam hearts to my second embellishment cluster.

To finish my layout, I added some foam and chipboard sticker hearts to my skyline embellishment cluster and called it done! I love how this opening page to my travel album looks, and I hope you love it too!!! If you are interested in seeing how this layout came together, please head on to my YouTube channel @gloriascraps where I have a process video for this layout.

Thank you so much for stopping by, I hope you feel inspired to document a travel memory with this super fun collection!

Hugs,

Gloria
