This Moment, Forever Remembered- Layout by Andrea Lake
Hi friends, Andrea Lake here, and today I’m sharing a soft and elegant 12x12 layout created with the absolutely beautiful Simple Vintage Timeless Harmony collection from Simple Stories. This page was designed as a special keepsake for my sweet niece to celebrate her First Communion. I wanted the layout to feel timeless, delicate, and filled with warmth—something she could look back on years from now and still feel how meaningful this moment was for our family.
One of my favorite things about this collection is the gorgeous color palette. The soft creams, muted greens, subtle blacks, and vintage-inspired florals create such a peaceful and graceful feel that worked perfectly for these photos. I used patterned papers to build a layered foundation for the page, adding thin borders and stitching details to help frame the design while keeping everything soft and cohesive. The gentle tones allowed the photos to remain the focus while still surrounding them with beautiful texture and detail.
To create dimension throughout the layout, I layered together cardstock stickers, Bits & Pieces, Journal Bits, and Decorative Brads from the collection. I loved mixing florals, butterflies, tickets, clocks, and vintage accents to create clusters around the photos. The layered embellishments give the page movement and depth while still maintaining that elegant and airy look that makes this collection so special. I especially love how the violin, lantern, florals, and tiny details help tell the story in such a meaningful and artistic way.
For the finishing touches, I added small layered embellishment clusters, soft phrases, and decorative brads to bring everything together and add texture without overwhelming the page. This project was truly such a joy to create, not only because of how beautiful the Timeless Harmony collection is, but because it celebrates such a meaningful milestone for someone we love so much. I hope this layout inspires you to use soft layers, delicate embellishments, and meaningful storytelling to document the special moments in your own life.
