Hello, crafty friends! Today I’m excited to share a project created with the beautiful Take Note collection. This collection is all about recording moments, and it does that with such a joyful, spring-inspired color palette, playful florals, bold black contrasts, and charming doodle-style details. It instantly invites you to tell stories.

As I sat at my desk thinking about how to document this memory — a set of photobooth-style photo strips from a special event I attended with friends — I found my inspiration in an unexpected place: the chipboard sheet. Its elongated shape made me pause… and then it clicked. Why not create a slim layout, measuring 12x6 inches? Half of a traditional 12x12 page, but full of personality and meaning.

This vertical format felt perfect for storytelling. It reminded me of a journal page... narrow, layered, spontaneous. I layered patterned papers from the collection, played with textures, and added dimension using floral bits, chipboard elements, and brads.

This project is a gentle reminder that scrapbooking doesn’t have to follow one single format. Sometimes, changing the size or orientation is all it takes to spark creativity and make your memories shine in a new way.
Hope got you inspired!
