Hello Simple Stories friends, Becki here, to share a layout with you that I created with the Simple Vintage Berry Fields collection. This collection has the most stunning artwork. If you’re looking for a vintage summer collection to document your Summer memories, this is it! This collection reminds me of a hot summer day picking berries with my grandma. Those are such sweet memories!
Where I live, it has been a really long winter. We’ve had snow on the ground from October to mid-April. Typically, I don’t mind winter but this year, it’s been rough. The first day that felt warm and a little bit like spring was Easter Sunday. Before we got in the car to go visit our families for the holiday,

I was so excited to document this spring themed layout with the Simple Vintage Berry Fields collection. When I was looking through this collection, I had a moment when my mind went blank, and I couldn’t come up with a design idea that I wanted to create.
Whenever I have one of those moments, I always fall back on an easy design. More often than not, I jump into the project with a grid design. From there, I can always make a layout come together…and I LOVE how this layout came together!
With a grid design, balance is so important. Balance is also very easy to achieve when you’re working with a grid design, especially a four-by-four grid design. I balanced the photo with my journaling in the square diagonally across the design. I balanced my title with an embellishment cluster in the opposite square.
This layout was SO much fun to create!! I cannot wait to create a couple more layouts and a mini album with this collection.
