Hello Simple Stories Friends!
It's Nathalie with you today to share a bit of inspiration featuring the beautiful Simple Vintage Flower Shoppe. This collection is gorgeous, filled with beautiful florals, a Springy color palette, and lots of layers. It is perfect for all sorts of memories, and I am using it for one of my Mother's Day memories.
As soon as I saw all the polaroid frames in the Captured paper, the idea for a cascade of them down the page for this layout came to mind. So, I carefully trimmed a few of them, making sure that I had two of the same color. I even cut the ones with partial images, so they can cap the top and bottom of the page.
Once I had all the polaroids in place, I attached them -as if cascading from the top of the page- onto the Hydrangea Gingham paper. Pieces of foam adhesive behind the corners of the frames helps to give the idea of dimension to the frames. I trimmed the excess left by frames at the top and bottom of the page.
I tried to keep the embellishing of the frames simple, but couldn't resist picking up pieces from all the ephemera, chipboard and stickers to bring sentiments to some of the frames,
To make sure that the photo was the focal point of the layout, I chose to change the shape of it by adhering it to the back of the oval chipboard frame. I set it to the left of the frames and decided to rework the look of the frame. First, I mixed ephemera, chipboard and foam adhesives to create a cluster title at the bottom of the frame, then added extra butterflies to make the ones on the edge of the frame more prominent.
I continue adding a few extra butterflies to the top and bottom of the polaroid frames. These help to keep the page coherent and also to keep the viewer's interest throughout the page. A few enamel dots complete the spread.
I love how this turned out, and I hope it inspires you to start creating with the beautiful SIMPLE VINTAGE FLOWER SHOPPE collection, you are going to love it all.
XO
