It's Nathalie with you today to bring you a fund and colorful Hard Candy Christmas. I just love the designs and color palette in this collection; it works so perfectly with all your holiday memories. Let me show you today's project
I wanted something colorful and festive for these photos, so a row of hanging ornaments work nicely to bring color and the holiday feel to the page. So get your detailing scissors ready and get fussy cutting the large elements in the Fine & Dandy patterned paper.
For my base, I am using Color VIbe trimmed to 11x11 and framed with the Peppermint Swirls paper. Then, I pulled large ornament pieces from the ephemera and large pieces and along with the fussy cut pieces, I used all these pieces to reimagine the background.
I perforated the hook part of the elements that allowed me to thread twine through. I used foam adhesive to attach the ornaments to the top of the page. Having different widths of foam adhesive helps to make the ornaments feel a tad more realistic.
I added just a few extra elements to the ornaments, nothing big as I want them as a focal point, Instead, I scattered a few enamel dots just to add dimension and extra pops of color,
To place my photos, I first added the scallop border from the Sticker Sheet as I need an anchor for the pieces and a way to balance the weight at the top of the page. Then, I backed the photos with one of the prints from the 6x8 Paper Pad and set them right below the ornaments followed by a title made from the foam word phrases.
To finish my page, I added a few extra embellishments to the right and left of the photos and title, making sure to not overcrowd the photos.
