Hey scrappy friends!
It’s time to pull out all those floral, purple, and dreamy summer photos, because this collection is made for them!
Today I’m sharing a layout I created using the gorgeous Simple Vintage Lavender Fields collection — and I’m completely in love with these soft purples and delicate details.
To start my layout, I grabbed the “Beautiful Moments” paper with that lovely honeycomb pattern. I got a little creative with it and cut out random shapes following the honeycomb lines.
I mixed larger and smaller pieces and arranged them across the center of my page. This already created a lot of interest and texture!
For my photo, I chose a special one taken in Provence, France — in a real lavender field! It was such a fun experience finding that beautiful spot.
I matted the photo using four pieces from the Journal Bits & Pieces, distressed the edges, and then adhered everything down. The honeycomb pieces were attached using a mix of foam squares and liquid glue to create different levels and dimension.
Once the base was ready, it was time for my favorite part — embellishing!
I added hexagons and tiny flowers from the Chipboard Pieces, little bees and purple hearts from the Bits & Pieces and more florals from the Floral Bits & Pieces pack.
The title also comes from the Journal Bits & Pieces — I just trimmed down the white edges slightly so it blended in more naturally with the layout.
To bring everything together, I added some enamel dots for pops of color and texture and finished it off with a few gold splatters for that extra touch of magic.
This layout was such a joy to create, and I absolutely love how soft and romantic it turned out.
