Sweet as Sunshine Stand Mini Album
Hi everyone, it’s Celes (@guiademanualidades), and today I’m sharing my Sweet as Sunshine Stand Mini Album, a little project with a very special shape and an even more special story inside. I created it using the beautiful Simple Vintage Lavender Fields collection from Simple Stories, combining its soft florals, warm golden tones, touches of lavender, and all those lovely vintage details that make every page feel so delicate and full of charm. For this mini album, I chose some of my favorite photos with Sebas — simple moments together, the kind that may seem small at first but become some of the memories we treasure the most. I loved playing with layers, tiny embellishments, and different textures while building this stand-shaped structure, turning it into a little display piece that can stay open and be enjoyed beyond the pages themselves. Sometimes the sweetest stories are exactly those: the everyday moments, the smiles, and the people who bring a little extra sunshine into our lives.
Now it’s time to create! Let’s build the Sweet as Sunshine Stand Mini Album step by step, adding papers, photos, layers, and all those little details that make this project so special.
Base of the mini album
The first thing we’ll do is take the S6-269 Pink Lemonade Stand Etched Dies with Simple Stories set and use the stand design to create the bases for the front and back covers, as well as all the inside pages.
For the bases, use the papers from the 12x12 Vintage Basics Kit, incorporating all the different colors. I also added a solid-color cardstock to create the wood-style borders for each piece.
Adhere the wood-style borders to the front and back covers using 3D foam, and adhere them flat on all the inside pages.
Next, cut papers from the collection’s 6x8 Paper Pad to decorate the pages. You’ll need pieces measuring 3" wide x 3 3/8" high.
I punched a hole in each piece using my Crop-A-Dile so I could bind them together with a paper ring.
For the front and back covers, I also added a gold eyelet to match the paper ring.
Cover
For the front cover, I started by adding one of the designs from the collection’s Rub-Ons pack as the base.
Then, I created a layered composition combining pieces from the Foam Stickers, Chipboard Pieces, and a little paper pinwheel that I die-cut using the S4-1532 Pink Lemonade Stand Tags set. I adhered the floral piece and the sentiments using 3D foam to add extra dimension.
Over the rub-on design, I also created a small composition using the classic honeycomb shapes included among the decorative embellishments.
For the back cover, I added a chipboard sentiment that coordinates with the phrases used on the front cover.
Finally, for the inside pages, I added my photos along with different decorative embellishments from the collection, playing with layers and small details throughout the mini album.
On the final page, I created a small pocket for journaling, leaving a special space to add a few words and complete the story behind the photos.
