Hello Simple Stories friends, it’s Becki here to share a scrapbook page with you that I created with the new Fresh Air collection. If you love fun, whimsical spring collections, you’ll LOVE the Fresh Air collection! It’s so fun and easy to work with!
When I sit down to create with a Simple Stories collection, I always reach for the tag patterned paper first. The tags are so cute and always full of LOTS of possibilities. The first thing I thought of adding to this layout was a large sunshine! Then, I thought it would be fun to make a few tags the rays of the sunshine.
I started by cutting a big half circle out of Daffodil Color Vibe cardstock. Color Vibe cardstock is my absolute favorite! I love the texture and the polka dot print on one side. After I had the half circle placed on my patterned paper background, I added a few tags around the top of the yellow circle.
After I had the tags in place, I added my photos to the yellow cardstock circle. Then, below the photos, I added the title and journaling strips.
Last but not least, it was time to embellish! I always make sure that I have my photos, title, and journaling in place before I add embellishments. Because this layout is about planting trees and flowers in our yard, I wanted to add a few flowers around the title. Over the hole of each of the tags, I placed an adhesive brad. Brads are the best embellishments for the tags. On one of the tags, I added some white crochet thread with a bow at the top too.
