I just arrived in North Carolina last week, and I’m soaking up every bit of these extra summer days!
But today’s post isn’t about summer — it’s all about capturing those cozy winter memories.
I think this might actually be my very first mini album for Simple Stories — layouts are usually my jam! But when I saw the tag cut-apart paper, it was practically begging to become a mini… so of course, I had to make one. 😄
To start, I grabbed the Season Tag Elements paper and cut apart all the little tags. I also added the small tag from the Simple Pages Page Pieces pack. Once I had everything ready, I played around with the order until I found a combo I loved, then started decorating each page one by one.
For embellishments, I mixed and matched die cuts from different packs, plus foam stickers, decorative brads, enamel dots, and chipboard pieces. From my stash, I added a custom mix of sequins and embroidery thread for a handmade touch.
I used the sequins throughout the mini, attaching them with little French knots, and wrapped some of the thread around cards and embellishments for texture. I even stitched over a few card designs to make them pop! To finish it all off, I added one or two die cuts as tiny dangling charms — just for that extra bit of whimsy. 💕
