Hi Simple Stories friends! Cheryl here today with a fun project using the incredible Lemon Twist collection! When I first saw all of the unique lemon embellishments, I just knew I had to create a lemonade stand. How could I not?!
I have created the base of the album with yellow Color Vibe textured cardstock and decorated the base of the stand using lots of chipboard embellishments, foam word stickers, as well as yellow Color Vibe alphabet stickers for my title. I have even added a scary bee! I am terrified of insects, but I think it looks so cute on this project.
Guess what?! There is a hidden box, which holds a mini album perfect for your memories! I really wanted to include one, so I turned the base of this lemonade stand into a box. The top just comes off and reveals a hidden compartment. It could also be used as a gift box or simply a storage box.
The mini album is small enough to fit inside the box and has plenty of pages for memories or journalling. It has quite a large spine for such a petite album, which is perfect for plenty of pages. I used a white/black polka dot ribbon to help hold this mini closed.
I have used gold thread to sew on each page, to add more texture and more detail. All of the patterned papers of this collection are so beautiful, and I have added colour coordinating embellishments to each page for a finished look. Adhesive brads in matching colours from the collection add the perfect finishing touch.
If you haven’t already crafted with this collection, then you totally have to. It’s so unique and nothing like I’ve ever seen before. Ideas to create something fun with it are endless and the colours are just so bright and happy and amazing!!
