So Sweet!

So Sweet!
Hey friends! Brianna Lepper here today sharing a new layout using the super adorable Baking Spirits Bright collection.

There are so many gorgeous patterned papers in this collection and I wanted to create a fun design which would showcase a lot of them. Instead of doing my go to grid layout or displaying thin strips of the papers, I thought some paper rolling would be a great alternative. I pulled out the 6x8 paper pad and trimmed them in half and rolled each paper. They're not super tight and they're not super loose, they're kind of right in the middle!

Once I finished rolling all of my papers, I did some simple mixed media on a piece of white cardstock using a few Distress Oxide inks in coordinating colors. I simply ink blended the colors on, sprinkled some clean water and lifted up some of the ink. I just love the look! As soon as it was finished drying, I adhered each of the paper tubes right in the center of my page.

I built an embellishment cluster to the top left of the paper tubes by adding a chipboard sticker phrase along with some really cute baking elements from the foam sticker sheet and ephemera pack that went right along with my photograph.

The cardstock sticker sheet had the perfect phrase for my title and I adhered it right under the paper tubes.

The photo is of my son Noah when he was around 3 years old and he was decorating some sugar cookies. He ended up dumping the entire thing of sprinkles on all of the cookies and I couldn't even be mad about it! So cute. I adhered the photo right on top of the paper tubes and added some fun baking elements to the left of the photo. This collection is so cute and couldn't be more fitting for the time of year where we bake the most!

I wanted to add a few embellishments to frame my title so I pulled more baking elements and a few trees from the ephemera bits + pieces to tie it all together.

For some finishing touches, I sprinkled in a few decorative brads and some white paint splatters. Here's one final look at this page!

Thank you so much for stopping by today, I hope that I've inspired you in some way! Have you tried rolling paper to create a similar design? It's such a fun way to get a lot of pattern on your pages without making your page too crazy busy. I love how it turned out and hope you do too!
Make sure to check out my process video at the end of this post. See you next time friends!
