Hello there everyone! Tya here! I am up on the blog today sharing my latest batch of handmade cards with you! I got to work with the super adorable ‘Sweet Talk” collection and I LOVED it! This cute Valentines theme collection has the best color pallet and some of the cutest icons out there to work with! I created 6 cards for you today so let’s get this show on the road and let me show you each one!
Card 1 features some of the adorable pattern papers that are from the 6x8 Paper Pad. This size is great for card making! I loved the contrast of the aqua with the red and bright pink! The cute hands making a heart are from our awesome Chipboard stickers.
Card 2 was made with a couple of the 3x4 Element Cards stacked on top of each other. This collection has so very cute little critters as icons, so this card features the sleepy little sloth Chipboard Sticker layered with a few Ephemera pieces. I added a little bit of sparkle on the center of the flowers with some Stickles. The cute tag peeking out from the top is tied with some red bakers twine.
Card 3 was made with one of the darling tags on our Tag Cut Apart pages. This is layered on some cute cloud pattern paper from the 6x8 Paper Pad. I then added the cute world, rainbow and sentiment elements to the card with some foam tape. More red bakers twine was tied to the tag as well as a couple of our Decorative Brads to finish out the décor on this tag.
How adorable is this little Panda? He makes for a great focal point for this card! I layered a couple of different pattern papers on this card, cutting one of them on the diagonal for some interest. I then built my little scene around the panda with some Ephemera Bits and Pieces and some stickers. I added a banner cut from some of our Color Vibe paper and wrapped some red bakers twine around it! This is probably my favorite card!
Some of my favorite design techniques to do are to stack a few of our Journal Bits and Pieces on top of one another. Here I did the cute pink bordered label and then the notebook paper list and then added my decorations on top of them. It’s fun to see what kind of little scenes I can make with these shapes. The Conversation Hearts are from the Chipboard stickers. The lips are from our Cardstock stickers.
My last card also uses a design technique that I use often. The 4x4 Element cards are perfect for cards as well. I loved this “Be Mine” one (isn’t that font the cutest?) I then added a few stickers and Bits and Pieces to the sides as well as some Decorative Brads on the icons for some dimension. Those brads are quickly becoming one of my favorite products we have, I used them a ton!
Well, that’s all I have for you today! As you can see, I had an absolutely wonderful time working with the “Sweet Talk” collection. I have a soft spot for all things Valentine’s Day, and this collection did not disappoint! I hope I have inspired you to pick up this collection and create a few cards for the sweethearts you have in your life! Thank you for stopping by – Happy Crafting my Friends!
