Hi there Crafty Friends!
It's Nathalie with you today to share a new fun project featuring one of the new Color Vibe collections. This time, I am focusing on the Darks Color Vibe collection for the project. There is so much you can do with cardstock, embellishments, and a bit of ingenuity!
I chose this collection for the layout as the colors my kids and cousin are wearing are very similar. You might think that the colors maybe to rich or pigmented, then the solution gives it breathing space/negative space for all the colors to shine on the page.
My starting point was the 6x8 paper pad. I simply cut 3 of the papers into 3/8 " wide frames starting from the 6x8 size and then working down. Once I had a few of the frames ready, I simply arrange them as a fan on my page. Then, I added a few of the extra frames to the left bottom of the fames fan to add more interest to the page.
I backed my picture with another one of the 6x8 papers and set it atop of the junction of all the frames. It was all about embellishing from there.
I picked 3 spots on my page to add a cluster of Bits and Pieces Floral Darks. I combined the pieces and added some of the Color Vibe Bits and Pieces Buttons Dark and Enamel Dots to complete the look of the cluster. I added a few pieces of Color Vibe Bits and Pieces Chipboard Darks as a means to add extra details to the page.
For the title and extra sentiment strips, I am using a few pieces from Simple Vintage Essentials collection, then adding a few extra Color Vibes Dark Enamel Dots to complete the page.
