Halloween Memories with Frightful Fun

Hello, crafty friends! Today I’m sharing a 12x12 layout created with the Frightful Fun collection by Simple Stories. Halloween is always a great opportunity to gather with friends, dress up, and create memories worth keeping. For this project, I wanted to document some of those moments through a combination of photographs, patterned papers, and fun Halloween elements.

I started by selecting a mix of photos from last Halloween celebration, arranging them in different sizes to create a visual story across the page. One of my favorite things about this collection is the combination of traditional Halloween elements with floral patterns, which inspired me to mix different prints and create an interesting contrast throughout the layout.

To build the composition, I used patterned papers as a foundation and created clusters around the photographs with Bits & Pieces, decorative elements from the collection. I also played with different shapes and layers, combining pumpkins, ghosts, stars, and florals to bring everything together without making the photos lose their spotlight.

For me, scrapbooking is about more than arranging photographs on a page. It’s about bringing back the atmosphere of a special day, remembering the people who were there, and preserving the little details that might otherwise be forgotten. And what better way to celebrate Halloween than with a page filled with memories, creativity, and a little bit of spooky fun?
