Before we know it, we will be Feelin' Frosty and enjoying snow days. This collection is perfect for getting you ready to capture memories on those days! If I were to describe my style it would be clean, colorful, with clever twists. Christine joining you today to take a look at how my style came together in this layout using Feelin' Frosty.
Every once in a while you have pictures that match a collection pretty well. I focused in on the colors green, the light blue, and the light brown to be my main colors - using the purples and pinks as accents. My base is from the 12 X 12 Collection Kit but the rest of the patterned papers are from the 6 X 8 Paper Pad.
The tags patterned paper is always a favorite for me! I added those as a border along the top of my photo block. I used them especially to help bring in some of the accent colors.
Throughout the layout, I used trees from the collection. I combined the Foam Stickers, Bits & Pieces and Cardstock Stickers. The foam stickers were especially great for adding dimension.
Ever since Simple Stories started releasing Page Pieces, I have been drawn to them for my title work. The titles included are the perfect size for a 12 X 12 layout. To add a clever twist to my title, I added some of the Dimensional Brads. I chose the same size of brads but solid colors of them and coordinated those with each letter in the title.
One thing I like to do to add to my clean style is adding a black outline around elements. It isn't always necessary, but sometimes it adds nicely to a layout, making elements stand apart from each other. It worked especially well today as many of the elements, like Snow in my title and the foam snowflakes, already had a black outline.
How cute are these snowmen? This collection has a good mix of cute elements like this but also more grown up pieces, like skis and coffee. To check out how my whole layout came together you can visit my YouTube Channel for the process video.
