Hello Simple Stories Friends,
Karlla here and I can't believe that it's already December and the year has literally flown by before my eyes.
I must confess that I love all these holidays. They hold so much meaning.
Today I bring my last post of the year 2025, and I hope you have managed to follow my projects throughout it.
Winter has been fun as my son grows up. Everything is a reason for fun.

For this project, I thought of something ruined (but not too much). Something worn, yet delicate. So irregular layers of paper left it the way I imagined its base.

The papers chosen for the base were "2x2 4x4 Elements, Bundle Up, Warm & Fuzzy and Ready. Set. Snow.
On the last three papers (the ones with irregular collage), I tore the edges with scissors and added them over the checkered paper in an irregular way. I did some machine stitching. One detail I love to do when I imagine this edge wear is to lift it with my fingers and make it even more worn. It creates a beautiful effect.
On some areas of the edges, I made some marks with a white gel pen. It makes it look even more vintage. I LOVE IT!

I added 3 photos with different heights of foam tape. And with the help of "Floral Bits & Pieces," I created some arrangements for decoration, and I added phrases and embellishments from "Sentiment and Bits & Pieces."

I positioned many embellishments so that they were coming out from behind the photos or details. And I made this choice of decoration for the title. I chose the title "Winter" from "Foam Stickers" and placed elements and flowers behind it. I did the same with the larger "Decorative Brads."

I went crazy over these red birds. They looked amazing with this color combination from the collection. I used them as a strategic color focal point for the layout, placing a large one on the right side to draw attention to that area of the project. This way, you can see that all four corners of the layout have embellishments and details. This harmony makes the work incredible.
I finished it with some 'Decorative Brads' and 'Bits & Pieces' snowflakes. In the center of each snowflake, I added an enamel dot as decoration.
I hope this project has inspired you. It was fun to create it.
I wish you and your families a wonderful end of the year. I can't wait to see you again.
With Love,
Karlla
