Hello Simple Stories friends, it’s Becki here to share a scrapbook page with you that I created with the new Summer Snapshots collection. When I first saw the Summer Snapshots collection, I fell in love with it! I LOVE the bright bold colors and the traditional fun Summer vibe!
There are so SO many awesome patterned papers in this collection! I wanted to use them ALL on this layout. Whenever I want to use a lot of patterned paper, I always reach for my 6x8 paper pads. On this layout, I decided to punch a lot of patterned paper circles. I thought circles would be fitting for a layout about my niece blowing bubbles.
After I had several circles ready to go, I decided that I wanted to add a little bit of texture and dimension by adding a hand stitched border around each circle in a coordinating color. Hand stitching takes a little bit of time, but it adds SO much to a layout!
After I had the circles finished, I added my photos, one on top of another leaving room for the title in between them. To make sure the title stood out above the circles, I used foam adhesive.
Because I used so many patterned papers and a large title, I kept the embellishing to a minimum. I simply added a few bits and pieces within a couple of the circles and foam heart stickers on the background.
I love how this fun layout came together! I cannot wait to see what you create with the Summer Snapshots collection. Summer will be here before you know it!!!
