CREEPY HALLOWEEN
Hello Simple Stories friends!
It's Nathalie with you today to share a fun idea to document your Halloween stories featuring the fun and beautiful SAY CHEESE CLASSIC MOUSE HALLOWEEN collection. This is such a perfect combination of classic icons and colors with modern designs that will highlight your stories with such ease. Let's take a look at what I have created with this collection
I wanted a simple design that will highlight the photos and icons in this collection. So, I set to piece my background using both HAUNTED HAPPENINGS and MISCHIEF & MAYHEM Papers. I cut the grid parts of the papers to form a 12x12 base for my layout. The secret is to hide the seam of the paper junction under the layers of patterned paper strips.
I cut strips of paper from MISCHIEF & MAYHEM, BOO CREW, and HALLOWEEN TIME papers and sent them vertically on the layout. The color combination and contrast between the size and patterns adds interest to the background.
Before placing my photos, I worked on the title of the page. I wanted to make sure that my titte and the icons would fit along the horizontal line of the background. The combinations of chipboard pieces with ephemera creates the ideal placement for the photos.
The photos were framed with papers from the 6x8 paper pad and set to the left of the paper strips and below the title. Since there are large pieces of ephemera on the title, I opted to keep this part simple and just add a few stickers around the photos.
I needed to balance the top part of the layout, so I added embellishments along the vertical paper strips. Combining larger sentiments with some of the foam adhesive shapes just helps to elongate the design and complete the page.
Just loved how this turned out, and I hope it has given you ideas on how to document your stories using the beautiful SAY CHEESE CLASSIC MOUSE HALLOWEEN collection, I cannot wait to see what you create with this collection!
XO
