Hello lovely crafters! How are you? Time to go back to school! And this year every moment is unique and special. I believe that we always have beautiful moments to document no matter what happens in our lives. So… let’s prepare a special project for our young or teenage children. The “School Life” collection is so beautiful! It has everything you need to document school days. I’m Celes from GuiadeManualidades.com and today we are going to create a Journal Album with it. Let’s get started!

Book:

To make this journal book I used my book binding tool (Cinch) and 1” binding wires. You can use any color you like.

For both covers I cut two pieces of cardboard of 6” w x 8” h. I decided to make it like this because I will use some of the phrases of the 6x8 Paper Pad for making dividers for my journal book.

As I wanted it to look like a notebook, I chose the double-sided designer cardstock “Ready.Set.Learn.2” and a different one to make the edge to bind. As you can see, I added a gold foil paper strip as a detail.

Cover:

As the collection has so many beautiful embellishments I chose some of them to decorate my cover. I prepared a paper rosette combining the paper I used for the edge of my book and the paper with the cork design. My paper rosette has a diameter of 4”. This rosette is the base for the rest of the decoration. You can combine as many embellishments as you prefer.

For the Interior:

I chose 3 phrases from the 6x8 pad and I used them to divide the journal book. Between them I added 4-5 pages and one envelope for photos and cards.

I cut the base for every page in white cardstock and then I decorated them with papers from the collection kit.

After you have all these ready… It's time To decorate it! Use all you have: die cuts, stickers, puffy stickers, chipboards, washi tapes, adhesive brads and leave some pages for the chipboard frames. They are perfect to highlight special photos! Besides, remember to leave free spaces to write and keep all their memories.
