Hello, crafty friends! Its Tya (@tyasmith3). Today I’m sharing a set of 8 handmade cards I created using the stunning Simple Vintage Woodlands collection. This line is absolutely magical—with its woodland creatures, rustic florals, charming mushrooms, and warm, earthy tones, it’s perfect for creating cards with depth, texture, and storybook whimsy. Let’s take a closer look at each card!
Card 1: Hello Beautiful
This sweet little bunny steals the spotlight, surrounded by soft florals, woodland mushrooms, and a butterfly accent. I layered foam stickers, Bits and Pieces die cuts, a beautiful Decorative Brad, and enamel dots for extra texture. The sentiment “hello beautiful” ties the whole card together like a warm hug.
Card 2: I’m Lost Without You
This playful fox card is cozy and heartfelt, featuring a plaid background paper from the 6x8 Paper Pad for warmth and whimsy. The oversized “you” paired with “I’m lost without” makes this card perfect for someone you miss. These come from the Sentiment Bits and Pieces and are wonderful for cardmaking! Little hearts and mushroom accents give it a touch of woodland romance.
Card 3: Life With You is Beautiful
A rich orange background sets the scene for this floral-forward card. I tucked in a few butterflies and added stitched buttons for homespun charm. The script “beautiful” balances out the graphic elements and makes this card perfect for someone special. I love how soft and lovely this card is – this whole collection is perfect for feminine and masculine cards.
Card 4: Go Where the Road Takes You
Adventure awaits! This card is a nod to exploration and following your own path. I used a mix of bold patterns, foam sticker butterflies, and florals to frame the sentiment, which is from the Sentiment Bit and Pieces. The blue in this collection is stunning! It’s great for anyone heading into a new season or embarking on a fresh journey.
Card 5: The World is Yours to Explore
Our curious squirrel is ready for action! I used a mix of floral die cuts, vintage stamps, and a soft doily for depth and interest. More Foam Stickers for the title make it really pop on the card! The green and orange combo is so vibrant and outdoorsy—it truly captures the spirit of woodland wonder.
Card 6: Stay Wild
This one is for all the nature lovers! With the bold Stay Wild Sentiment die cut and a layered butterfly and bird cluster, it feels both energetic and serene. I tucked in a beautiful leaves and berries Floral Bits and Pieces die cut, and subtle plaid pink card from the Journal Elements paper to ground the design while keeping it rustic and bold.
Card 7: Go to Your Happy Place
Who wouldn’t want to escape to this adorable forest hideaway? A spotted mushroom, gentle deer from the Chipboard Stickers, and layered florals create a peaceful woodland scene. The sentiment is a scalloped journaling card from the Sentiment Bits and Pieces for a cozy, heartfelt vibe.
Card 8: Let’s Get Lost
The final card celebrates the spirit of wanderlust! Hiking boots, binoculars, a compass—this one is packed with explorer vibes. These gorgeous Ephemera pieces are so stunning layered up together on top of the large polaroid photo die cut from the Large Ephemera Pieces is just so pretty. I added a plaid scallop border die cut, layers of florals, and a little “beautiful” tab with a pretty blue butterfly Decorative Brad to finish it off.
