Hello Simple Stories fans! Tya here – and I am so happy to be able to share the cards I made using the stunning Simple Vintage Essentials collection. Full of beautiful patterns, lovely florals and some of the best embellishments – it was so hard to stop at only 8 cards!
Here are each of the cards I made -
As you can see, this collection is full of vintage-y goodness. The color palate was divine with the bold black and white and sepia toned colors. It made each of my cards classic and timeless looking.
This first card features a large floral piece from the Floral Bits and Pieces. With the additions of a fun, foam sticker sentiment and cute little bumblebees – the cards recipient is going to love all the touches you made!
I loved all the vintage looking typewriters included in the Take Note Bits and Pieces. Then more Foam stickers were added for the sentiment again along with a Bingo card and a notebook looking ephemera piece that adds just the right pop peeking out behind the typewriter.
I really enjoyed using all the different florals and bugs in the collection – as you can see here, I’ve tucked a large floral back behind an Ephemera envelope from the Captured Bits and Pieces and then added a lovely dragonfly to the right side of the sentiment.
One of my favorite designs to make on cards is to create a pocket and then tuck various embellishments in the pocket. Here you can see I added a fun Chipboard Clipboard, some Chipboard Metal Hardware and more Ephemera in the pocket. These vintage pieces are really fun to layer up!
I really loved all the sepia tones in the collection, and this card shows some of those papers and embellishments off. The awesome long Chipboard Clipboard and the Viewfinder Ephemera pieces were some of my very favorite parts of the whole collection – so this card is one of my favorites!
This large envelope that is placed on the bottom edge of the card is from the amazing Ephemera and fits perfectly on an A2 sized card. It was great to have some of the layering of embellishments already done for me! I simply added a “hello” sentiment from the Chipboard Metal Hardware and a few florals and a dragonfly die cut to really make this card pop!
More vintage goodness here with a large, old fashioned camera die cut in the bottom corner paired with some Polaroid looking ephemera. The large Smile sentiment goes perfectly on this camera /photography themed card!
I forgot to mention that all my pattern papers were from the 6x8 Paper Pad and every single print was gorgeous. The pattern paper background on this card was so stunning to me with its very subtle florals on a cream background. And how beautiful are the butterflies in this collection? I loved how this one was a strong focal point on this last card I made.
Thank you so much for stopping by today! I hope to have inspired you to pick up this gorgeous collection to create some Vintage themed cards for your very own. Anyone would be thrilled I’m sure to receive a little Happy Mail with such beautiful products! Happy crafting friends!
