Hello friends! It's Dorymar here. As school is starting, what better way to document your favorite back-to-school photos than by creating a beautiful scrapbook project using the fantastic Book Fair collection from Simple Stories? This collection features lovely school-themed patterns and vibrant colors. Let’s take a look!
For this project, I chose to use the yellow 6x8 Flipbook. I wanted to do something a bit different, so I decided to turn the album and create horizontal pages. On the cover, I combined several elements, including Big Pieces, ephemera, and foam stickers, along with the patterned papers from the collection.
On the inside of the cover, I added several elements to introduce color and highlight the next page. This choice enhances the overall appearance of the project, allowing me to utilize the beautiful elements offered by Simple Stories.
As you know, I enjoy creating my own pages. For this project, I chose Daffodil Color Vibe paper because its quality is perfect for making divider pages. I completed this page by mixing different patterns and adding inserts and decorations to make the project beautiful and fun.
You may notice that the page features flaps and a pocket. If you're interested in creating your own, the base measures 8.5” x 7.5”. The right flap measures 5.5” x 6.25” with a .25” vertical fold on the far left, while the left flap measures 4.5” x 6.25” with a .25” vertical fold on the far right. I used a magnet to keep it securely closed.
Creating your own pages is incredibly enjoyable, so I encourage you to give it a try. The result will be a beautiful and fun project!
After covering the back page, I created an additional flap to provide more space. This flap measures 11 inches by 4.5 inches, with a vertical fold at 5.5 inches. On the pocket page, I added another flap by folding a 6-inch by 8-inch paper down to 4.25 inches. You can see the details below.

I created a large horizontal pocket that offers plenty of room for photos and journaling. For the base, I used Color Vibe paper. The page size measures 8.5" x 7.5", while the pocket is 9" x 4.5". I included a 0.25" vertical fold on both the left and right sides, along with horizontal fold at 4". To mark the center of the pocket, I made a point cut.
On the pocket, I arranged a large cluster of several pieces from the collection, and I love how it turned out!
More space, more details, more fun! Yay!
