Hey there Simple Stories friends!
How are you? It’s Lory here today to share a new colorful page created with the Homegrown Collection. Sometimes I think that it's great to go out of your comfort zone and try new colors combinations, green for example is not my favorite color but I have loved using it with the yellow and the blue. So are you ready to see the story of this page? Grab your cup of coffee or of your favorite drink and let’s go!
First of all I chose 5 patterned papers, and 5 designs to mix and combine together. Let me tell you, in each collection my favorites are the patterns with the tags they have endless possibilities to be used.
So I placed one under another tearing the borders.
Once I placed them I choose my picture, a picture of my little boy and his little girlfriend in the garden during a lovely afternoon spent together after the nursery time.
The colors of the picture were just perfect combined with the papers. Once I found the right way, I started embellishing my page. I used details like foam stickers, the decorative brads, the chipboard stickers, to the die cuts, just in a line on the left side of the page and the picture.
My idea was to mix stickers phrases, flowers, and little words - I adore these kinds of meaningful details.
Once I completed the whole composition I added the “homegrown” title and the latest touch adding the tags patterned paper as the final border.
And here is the full page :)
Hope you like it and be sure you will have a lot of fun playing with this gorgeous collection! You will se more on my ig account!
