Hello Simple Stories friends! Becki here to share a layout with you that I created using the School Life collection. This collection is jam packed with amazing products. I couldn't wait to dive in and make some school themed projects. I've been saving this photo for quite a while now just waiting for the right time to tell the story. When this collection landed on my doorstep, I knew I wanted to scrapbook this cute photo.
The page kit in the School Life collection is amazing!! It had the perfect pieces to make this layout come together simply and quickly! I love the large die cuts included in this kit.
The base of this layout is the fun corkboard patterned paper. It made the perfect neutral backdrop for the brightly colored patterned papers and embellishments on the rest of the layout.
I used die cuts from the Bits & Pieces as well as stickers from the sticker book to create my title. I love mixing fonts, sizes, and colors to create my titles.
At the top of the layout I added a fun banner sticker layered with puffy stickers to emphasize the school theme. This banner adds tons of texture and color to the layout.
The tag paper is always my favorite paper in any collection and the School Life collection is no exception. I love using tags as embellishments or for journaling. In this case, the tags are used as a pull tab for journaling (that I will add later). At the top of each tag I added a decorative brad for added texture and dimension.
I had so much fun creating this layout! You can check out the entire process for how I made this layout in my YouTube Video.
Thanks so much for joining me today!
