Hello Simple Stories fans! Suzanna here today to share with you a PURRRR-fect two-page layout created using Pet Shoppe collection with, of course, a special focus on the felines!
Here’s the layout.
There are so many great patterned papers in this collection, don’t you think? A great way to use all those patterns AND a lot of photos is to create banners. Fat, skinny, tall, short, I mixed them up. For a little texture and added interest, I selectively handstitched the borders of a few of them.
This is, in essence, a December photo dump. If you have pets, you know. My cell phone camera roll is inundated with cat photos. To break up the photo collage and give the viewer a bit of the break, I used the black welcome doormat from the Elements paper as a tip up with another photo underneath.
Here is the tip up partially up, revealing the photo below. I love interactive elements on my pages!
With the busyness of the patterned papers and the large quantity of photos I had, a thin white border between photo collage and banners creates a division between the two. A necessary white space.
Another photo free spot, on the left hand side of the left hand page houses a 6x4 Element card. A mix of product from layered stickers to foam stickers and journaling Bits & Pieces create a fun cluster housing both title and journaling.
Here’s a final look at all those photos and banners;
