Hello Simple Stories Friends.
Karlla here, and I'm so happy to share this project with you. The
"Retro Summer" collection is absolutely beautiful. The colors, prints... makes me look forward to summer. I need it to arrive soon so I can have fun at the pool with my family.
Dallas doesn't have a beach, so we enjoyed the pool practically every day, LOL!
For this layout, I chose to create a super title as a background. I love doing this cut detail in my projects. I chose a fun font and cut the white cardstock on the silhouette. As this font is simple, I often draw with a pencil and cut out. it looks amazing.
As the intention of this layout is to make everything fun, I lined each letter with a different "Retro Summer" print. To finish and highlight, I made a sewing machine with pink thread. I already sewed this by hand and thicker thread.
I added small details between the letters. A mix of from "Sticker Book, enamel dots and brads", makes every detail more beautiful. I love these mixes.
You may have already noticed that I like to add height and various elements of collections all together. Creating this embellishment underneath the photo makes it super standout and super cute.
As a title or subtitle, I used the word Summer (6x12 Chipboard).
Added some more stickers underneath to create dimension.
I had a lot of fun creating this layout.
Thank you so much for stopping by today, I hope that I've inspired you.
See you soon,
