Our Love Story

Our Love Story

Happy Friday, friends! Nicole here with a lovely SNAP album I created using the beautiful Love Story collection. This May, my husband will be celebrating 20 years of marriage and 25 years together! That is amazing, right?! It takes a lot of work to make a marriage last, but I am thankful for my husband and all the memories we have made along the way.
I have a folder that I keep pictures of Pete and I throughout the years. It's so fun to look back on the memories... I'm so lucky to have found a passion for taking pictures at a young age. I didn't have many pictures of my family or myself growing up. I thought this album would be great to pass along to Edward later... He won't appreciate it now, but he will later.
I used two patterns from the 8x6 paper pad for the inside of the book cover. Next, I added some die cuts, stickers, and chipboard. Aren't these embellishments beautiful! I was in heaven creating this little beauty.
I used the double chipboard frame for the first page. I tucked a journaling card behind the first frame and one of my favorite pictures from my wedding next to it. Also, I added a few die cut flowers tucked behind the frame to make it more pretty and then added the "yours truly" foam sticker across the top of the frame. I hand journaled the date of our marriage on the typewriter.
I used my favorite pictures to scrapbook on the pages throughout the album. We were babies! I played with the rub-ons a bit on this page. They are sooooo pretty!! I added a few die cuts and stickers along with the tag to add some layers so the page wouldn't look flat.
This spread was super fun! I love playing with mixed media... I painted the chipboard cover using pink acrylic paint and then used two different polishing plasters through the stencil to create a fun mixed media background. I LOVE that Simple Stories has stencils to go along with their collections!
I love this stripe patterned paper along with the yellow floral paper. I decided to use it for my Wedding Reception photo. On the left, I cut the cut apart card down and punched holes to create a fun insert for the album. Next, I added a few stickers and chipboard.
I created an interactive pocket page too. I simply cut the journaling card from the paper and folded it in half and tucked it through the sleeve. I added another small picture for fun. Are you ready to make one of these for yourself? I am super proud of this album! And it is very meaningful to me.
Here is a pocket page I created using some rub-ons, foam stickers and layered chipboard embellishments. I used the notebook paper to include a great deal of journaling. I documented all my favorite memories together along with how we met.

I hope you found this album inspiring. I literally poured my heart and soul into this one! I just love this so much. I have been wanting to create an album like this for some time now... so glad I got it done! There are still a few pages left blank... so that I can add to it!
