It’s Cheryl on the blog today, and I’m so excited to share this sweet mini album gift idea using the beautiful Hard Candy Christmas collection that’s perfect for a friend or family member. This little keepsake box is filled with memory-making potential and makes such a thoughtful handmade present for any occasion!
For this project, I started by creating a simple box with a lid using the gorgeous Bubblegum Color Vibe cardstock. The finished box measures 6.25 x 4.5 inches, making it just the right size to hold a small collection of special memories. To give it a fun and interactive twist, I cut a large rectangle out of the lid and replaced it with acetate, allowing you to peek inside and see the treasures waiting within. I absolutely love how this turns the box into a display piece! You can enjoy it closed just as much as when it’s open!
Inside the box are six Polaroid-style frames, each measuring 4 x 3.25 inches. I tucked a blank card into each frame, keeping them intentionally simple so they can be customized in so many different ways.
One of my favourite things about this project is its versatility. The blank cards can be decorated with embellishments, stamps, and journaling, or they can easily be swapped out for photos. It’s perfect for documenting little moments, favourite memories, kind notes, or even future adventures. Whether you fill it up before gifting or leave it open-ended for the recipient to complete, this mini album truly grows with the story.
I kept the embellishing light on the frames themselves, adding just a few layered accents so they still feel clean and modern. The Bubblegum Color Vibe cardstock brings in that pop of colour while keeping everything playful and fun.
