Hello Simple Stories Friends!
Nathalie with you today to share a new project featuring the beautiful Harvest Market collection. Let me start with saying that this is such a gorgeous collection. There is lots of color, details, and of course just the perfect sentiments to help you document all your Fall memories. Let me show you what I have created for today's post
I wanted a good way to showcase each of the pieces of the collection, and thought a banner style layout will be perfect for all the glorious papers.
So, I pulled some Oatmeal Color Vibe cardstock to use as the base of my page. First, I added a bit of white pigment ink through the Falling Leaves stencil right at the top of the page; then sprinkled a bit of white acrylic ink and set it aside to dry.
While the ink dried, I cut strips of patterned paper from both the 12x12 papers and the 6x8 paper pad. All these strips are different widths (not wider than 2in). Once the ink dried, I used a pencil to draw a line in the layout, and then used a bit of glue tape to attach all the paper strips to the layout.
I love, love chipboard frames. This time, I was drawn to the scalloped circle frame, and backed the empty space with a picture of my two youngest kids (and yes, our Poochie is our baby boy), and set it on the left of the paper banner. The position of the frame, automatically set the placement for the title (Harvest Market Simple Page Pieces)
Finally, it was time to embellish. I started by creating large clusters of the beautiful florals from the collection at the two corners of the paper banner. I added a few chipboard pieces and extra stickers from the sticker tablet to add movement to the clusters. Finally, I scattered a few extra leaves and enamel dots to complete the page.
I just love how this turned out, and I hope this inspires you to check the new HARVEST MARKET collection from Simple Stories. You are going to love it all!
