Bloom Baby, Bloom! by Nathalie DeSousa

Hello Simple Stories friends!

Nathalie with you today to share a new project featuring the super gorgeous FULL BLOOM collection from Simple Stories. This new collection is just perfect to document Spring, those sunny glorious days, blooms, and my Goddaughter's 1 year photo shoot (it is that versatile!)

As soon as I saw the bee theme in the collection, ideas just flooded to match the bee photos of my little one. The Hey Honey paper was my starting point for the page. I wanted to bring the idea of a beehive but lighten it up a bit. So, I decided to break up the paper a bit and attach it to the Chasing Rainbows paper.

In order to emphasize the beehive pattern, I used a piercing tool and punch holes at each corner of the hexagons. I used this as a stitching guide (hand stitching). The texture the embossing folder brings to the page adds to the overall feel of the page.

I hand stitched small pieces of the broken hive through the page, and accented all these areas with the small bee die cuts, stickers, and chipboard pieces... Just love the little bees,

There were so many photos to pick from, but these are some of my favorites.  I simply backed them with a paper from the 6x8 paper pad, and then added them to the top of the page. I couldn't resist the small rainbow chipboard, so I attached it to the side of the photos along with a small sentiment (as a subtitle), I took advantage of the embellishments in the collection to create little pops of interest throughout the page.

For the title, I combined pieces from the Sticker sheet with the gorgeous alpha stickers from the Sticker tablet (I might need a few more sets of these alphas, preferably in chipboard or foam adhesive please, I love them!!). Then it was all about adding bees to each corner of the page.

I just love how this turned out and cannot wait to use the rest of the kit in an album with all the pictures of the photo shoot and party (guess what the theme was!!!)  I am sure you are going to love the new FULL BLOOM Collection from Simple Stories. Bee sure to check it out!
