It's Nathalie with you today to bring you some inspiration featuring the gorgeous Simple Vintage Love Story. I am huge fan of the Simple Vintage series, and this collection is just so beautiful that it made it so easy to put this page together.
I love the patterned paper designs in this collection and thought the b-side of Better Together was the perfect background for this memory of my husband and me.
It all started with a bit of gesso (white acrylic paint will also work) on top of the background. The paint dulls the pattern a bit without hiding it completely, plus it gives the page a vintage look. I then, cut one of the 6x8 paper pads in half and glued them to the center of the page. The distress edges gave me the idea of adding pieces of torn washi tape as an under layer.
Love and hearts go hand in hand! So, I hand cut a heart shape from the Simple Vintage Love Story Mint/Red Basic, and hand stitched (with metallic thread) around the edge of the heart. I added a few pieces of Rub-Ons around the heart to bring a bit more interest to it, then set it in the center of the page.
I love the chipboard frames in this collection and chose the one with the large clip to frame my photo. However, I wanted to bring some color to the frame. For this, I carefully use a craft knife to cut around the left side of the clip and inserted one of the beautiful floral bundle stickers in place. A few extra embellishments just add that little something to the cluster.
Simple Stories Foam stickers are always the best when it comes to creating titles. I simply added some foam adhesive behind it; this helps to make it pop in the page. I added a few extra embellishments and tied the page together with some of the die cut butterflies and a few drops of gold ink.
I love how this turned out, and I cannot wait to see what you will create with the beautiful Simple Vintage Love Story collection.
