Missing You at Christmas
It's Yvette with you today, and I have a new layout to share featuring Simple Stories' gorgeous 'Holiday Life' collection. I hope my creation inspires you to create your very own holiday-themed scrapbook layout.
I had a fun idea to create a wreath using the Rub-Ons, Floral Bits, and one of the Chipboard Frames. I started by selecting the reverse side of the 'Holiday Happenings' pattern paper, which served as the perfect backdrop. Its stunning cream color and snowflake design added elegance to the overall look.
I began by layering Christmas flowers, pine branches, and mistletoe from the Floral Bits. The combination of colors and textures worked beautifully together, creating a stunning focal point, which I love. To add an extra touch of elegance, I incorporated one of the beautiful Layered chipboards and a die-cut bow to the cluster, adding both dimension and depth to the arrangement.
Next, I added one of the Chipboard frames to enhance my photo and included it in my wreath design. I then strategically placed additional pieces from the Floral Bits around the top section of the frame.
I decided to move away from the usual circular wreath design. Instead, I used letters from the Sticker Book and a Tag from the Tags Elements paper to create a long title, which became part of the wreath design. This decision added an exciting twist to the design and made it more unique. Additionally, I added paper strips cut on an angle using the Holiday Happenings and Magical Moments patterned papers to the top and bottom sections of the layout.
To enhance the overall appearance of the wreath, I used the black and white rub-on images from The Holiday Life collection to fill in all the gaps and spaces around it. I carefully selected the images that would complement the wreath's design and color scheme, ensuring they would blend in seamlessly.
Overall, I was pleased with the final result and felt that the rub-on images with a few Glitter Enamel Dots and a spatter of paint were the perfect finishing touch to the wreath.
