Hey Simple Stories friends! It’s Cheryl on the blog today with my wedding mini album using the Simple Vintage Love Story collection.
First of all… how gorgeous is this collection?! It’s so perfect for Valentine’s crafts, but also for wedding albums, which is what I’m showing you today. I got married at the end of 2022 and one of our friends took photos and I did all of the editing myself. This has been on my to do list for 1.5 years, until this collection prompted me to get those photos finished this year! It features beautiful soft shades of pink and florals which I absolutely love to work with.
My album base is about 5.5 x 5.5 Inches and the spine is 2 Inches wide. I wanted lots of space for embellishing and pages because the embellishments are simply stunning.
I used the Rose paper from the Simple Vintage Love Story Basics kit as my album outside base and Rouge from the same kit for the inside lining. For the pages I have used Color Vibe card in Warm White because the soft color goes so well with the rest of the album. Two of the pages have flip up pages for extra photos and memory keeping.
I have cut all of the layering pattern paper pieces a quarter of an Inch smaller than the album base and for an extra finish I have added machine stitching on every layering piece in a pale pink color - I just love the detail it adds to scrapbook albums!
All of my photos are 3x5 x 4.5 Inches (with a small white border) and they fit perfectly on the pages and leave room for embellishments. Once all of the patterned paper was glued down, I went through the album and decided what photo goes well with each background paper - I did not document them in the order they were taken. After glueing down my photos I moved on to my favourite part: embellishments! I can’t even tell you how beautiful the Love Story embellishments are in person. My personal highlight are the layered chipboard stickers! One of my favourite products by Simple Stories.
