Hello friends! Anya is here today and I am so excited to share with you a mini album I created with the cutest Pet Shoppe collection. To make this mini book, first I created a cut file and then used my Silhouette machine to cut all of the pages and details. For those who would like to recreate a similar mini book, I am sharing a cut file you can use!
In the cut file you will find letters for the cover as well as different pages in two sizes. I used white cardstock to cut larger pages and used patterned paper to cut slightly smaller ones, which were used to overlay the white pages, and this way it gave me a thin white border on all of the pages.
There are four page sizes, which I call by the number of letters on it. For my mini book I cut two “M” pages, three “ME” pages, three “MEO” pages and eight “MEOW” pages. This seems like a good amount of pages with plenty of spaces for photos and journaling! The size of the cut file is exactly the same size I used for my book, but you can make it larger or smaller if you'd like.
After cutting all of the pages and adhering patterned paper overlays, I cut my letters in different colors same way: white cardstock for larger letter and colored paper for slightly smaller. I adhered colored die cut letters to white background die cut letters and used my sewing machine to stitch around each one. You may totally skip this step, but I like how it turned out.
To bind your mini book, you may use the Cinch machine, as I did here, or you may punch two to three holes on each page and use rings to hold your book together. Either way would work perfectly fine.
Last step is to use ephemera, stickers and other elements to decorate your mini album. You may die cut photo frames as I did here, or you may add photos straight to your album. Hope you were inspired by today's project and will give it a try if the theme is relevant to you. Thank you for visiting Simple Stories blog and make sure to stop by again soon for more inspiration!
