I live in Utah with my husband, and I have two kids (one just got married last year), three BIG dogs, and three cats. Yes, I LOVE animals!
My journey into the paper crafting world started when I landed my first job as a scrapbook store manager. I may have fibbed a little and said I’d been scrapbooking for years when I hadn’t; but I’m so glad I did! It ended up being one of my favorite jobs ever and set me on the path to where I am today.
Over the years, I’ve worked at Daisy D’s Paper Company, Cosmo Cricket, and even dabbled in the digital side of photo books (though I quickly realized I hated the logistics of programming!). Eventually, I begged Kevin and Amber to hire me at Simple Stories, and I’ve never looked back.
I’ve been scrapbooking for 28 years now and cherish the incredible relationships this hobby has brought into my life. My favorite Simple Stories product (by far!) are the Page Templates…how did I ever scrapbook before these??? And when it comes to Color Vibe, Bubblegum and Cornflower are 2 of my favorite colors, but I love all of 66 colors!
One of the best perks of working at Simple Stories is getting a sneak peek at all the gorgeous collections before they’re even finished! When Amber started designing Simple Vintage Woodlands, I knew this was a “must hoard” collection—I’d need at least five of everything. Right away, my brain went into overdrive thinking about which photos and upcoming adventures would be perfect for it.
I had a blast putting together this layout with the Page Templates and my forever favorite—chipboard frames. I love stacking and layering the frames to create a fun little collage effect.
Tags are one of my favorite little details—I love adding them for extra journaling.
On this layout, the green tag slides out from the left side of the first page—super handy, since I had way too many photos to squeeze in and completely forgot my journaling until the end. It turned out to be the perfect solution!
