Simple Stories has a new product and if you're feeling strapped for time or just tapped out on creativity, you MUST check out the Simple Pages. Designed to allow you to create 2 double page layouts - you can knock out a lot of pictures. I used the Main Street Simple Pages to put together two spreads! In addition to the original kit, I added a few more touches just to show you how you can take them a step further! As you can see the designs on this are impeccable, they are well balanced, whimsical, and full of color! I've never done a layout before that was pre designed, so this was a new experience for me!
For this layout, I added some hand stitching around the mouse head as well as some Enamel Dots.
Each layout in the Simple Pages leaves a perfect spot for adding your journaling. That's an area I always struggle with, so it was nice to have that incorporated!
The giant mouse ear was my favorite element on this layout! Adding hand stitching around allowed me to add a little texture.
All the embellishments in the Simple Pages kit are cardstock that you punch out and chipboard. It includes extra pieces so you can add more to your taste or change things out.
The combination of chipboard and cardstock embellishments allow for great layering!
I absolutely love the design of this spread! There's something so satisfying about getting 12 photos onto just one side of a layout! I decided to keep this one with one theme of pictures - all of my daughter and her princess adventures!
The happiness that this page conveys is one of those, "this is why I scrapbook" moments! Between the colors and design, it just brings back so many happy memories of that day!
One thing I added to both sets of layouts was to mat all of my photos. I used just white cardstock and then sized my photos down accordingly.
For this spread, I pulled out the Foam Stickers from the collection. I always like to use those on my layouts and I like the nice added touch of dimension they provide.
The details are in the layers of this one - most of them coming from the kit itself! I did add in some hand stitching and Bits & Pieces.
The title pieces are a perfect complement to the straight lines in this layout - you can't go wrong with a script font and a grid design - it just helps to soften everything.
