Hi friends! This is Inessa Persekian, and I’m thrilled to be back on the blog with a mini album project featuring the Simple Vintage Fresh Snow collection. I had so much fun working with this collection—it’s filled with beautiful shades of blue and green that bring all the cozy, snowy vibes.
For this mini album, I decided on a slightly larger 5x7 size, inspired by the chipboard frames included in the collection. I love using these frames, whether for mini albums or in 6x8 albums—they’re such a fun structural element. I opted for a cinch-bound design with five rings in the center. Since the chipboard pieces and other non-standard-shaped pages didn’t fit directly into the cinch, I used a hole punch to customize them.
To mix up the look and feel of the album, I included a variety of page sizes and even used some of the larger chipboard frames as standalone pages. This is one of my favorite tricks—it’s an easy way to add dimension and visual interest. When working with the chipboard frames, I recommend backing them after adding your photos. The easiest method is to trace the frame onto your patterned paper, fussy cut it, and adhere it to the back for a snug fit. I’ve tried cutting directly with an X-Acto knife, but the intricate edges make tracing more effective.
For embellishments, I used foam stickers, floral pieces, bits and pieces, sentiment bits, and glitter enamel dots from the collection. To add extra sparkle, I incorporated glitter glue on some elements, which really brought the pages to life.
If you’d like to see more, I’ve filmed a flip-through video showcasing each page—check it out on YouTube (I’ll link it below). I hope this album inspires your next project. Thanks for stopping by, and I’ll see you next time! Have a fabulous day!
