Are you looking for a sweet escape from the Winter blues? The cold temperatures and falling snow have me day dreaming about warm summer days with the sun on my face, flowers blooming, and birds chirping. The Simple Stories Cottage Fields Collection is just what I needed!
The images and papers in this collection are field guide inspired. The beautiful blooms, butterflies, and birds are realistic and just stunning! The papers are all SPRING in shades of pink, yellow and mint with some black thrown in for a little contrast and drama.
The 6x8” patterned paper pad features smaller size pattern paper prints and the page size is perfect for A2 (4.25 x 5.5”) sized cards. One sheet cut in half will cover two card fronts. This time I used lots of images from the sticker book for my cards. To make them easier to work with I apply baby powder to the adhesive backing. This means they won’t accidentally stick to anything while I’m deciding where they’ll go.
I used some sticker labels to create several smaller focal points for the botanical images on the above card. I matched the label color to the image color. If you look close you’ll see that the pink floral is on a pink label, the goldfinch on a gold label etc.
I matched the Floral Bits and Pieces with color coordinated butterflies for a fresh look. Strips of washi add layers of pattern and create more interest in the design. Circular sentiments you see on the designs are from the Sticker Book. It’s loaded with images, labels, tabs, sentiments, alphas and more!
