Hey, Simple Stories friends! Marsha here, and I'm sharing a flipbook album I created using the new Boho Baby collection. This collection is the absolute cutest! I was excited to use it to create a gift album for a friend who is expecting her first child next month. I thought it would be perfect for documenting the baby's first year!
For my project today, I chose a Navy 4x6 Flipbook. I love working with 4x6 flipbooks and thought it would be the perfect size for a gift album. I selected a star patterned paper from the collection kit and trimmed it to fit the cover. I wanted to create a little nursery scene, so I chose a chipboard frame and a die cut from the bits and pieces pack. I used foam stickers and a tag from the Tags patterned paper to add the finishing touches to the cover design.
For the inside cover, I added a rainbow from the Rainbow Bits ephemera. I love that this collection includes an entire pack of amazing rainbow die cuts! I added the Welcome Baby card to the first page and included more rainbow pieces from the puffy and chipboard stickers.
The pages of the album were created with trimmed patterned papers from the collection kit and 6x8 paper pad. I loved the patterns in this collection and wanted to feature them in the album.
I used the month tags from the Tags patterned paper throughout the album to document each month of the baby's first year. The first month includes a vellum pocket, so the tag could easily be removed to add journaling.
The next page includes a cut apart journal card. I added machine stitching around three sides to create a pocket for another tag and additional photos.
I continued to add the cut apart tags throughout the album. The 6 months tag flips out to reveal the journaling spot and space for photos.
The next page includes a large flip out created using washi tape and cut apart journal cards. I used enamel dots and lots of fun chipboard pieces to embellish the page.
The final page includes a cut apart journal card and a stitched vellum pocket to hold the 12-month tag. I included a spot for a circular photo and embellished the page with stickers from the sticker book and cardstock sticker sheet.
